TO)pot
Each edition of TO)pot brings a new curatorial focus. The design challenge was to translate that focus into a distinctive central image and develop it into a festival identity that worked across print, digital communication and physical promotional materials.
For the 2023 edition, I developed the visual concept with Irena Pivka and created vector illustrations drawing on Victorian anatomical imagery. Human and animal legs expressed the festival’s focus on more-than-human beings. This anatomical language continued in 2024 through the inner ear, whose architecture became a symbol for listening with spaces. In 2025, the external ear shifted attention towards contact with the outside world, reflecting the festival’s international outlook and the CENSE conference.
The 2026 edition, Walking-with Silences, called for a more contemporary visual direction. I developed the identity around the pause symbol, creating leg forms from it to bring walking and silence together in a single graphic idea.
Across the editions, my work connected conceptual interpretation and illustration with layouts, format adaptations and print preparation for catalogues, posters, flyers, website graphics and other festival materials. Collaboration with the printer carried the designs through to physical production. The result was a visual identity rooted in each edition’s theme and developed consistently across its communication materials.
The 2026 festival was produced by Cona within its programme, co-funded by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Slovenia and the City of Ljubljana, Department of Culture.
