Shapeshifting

Tajda Novšak’s Shapeshifting required substantial financial and organisational support to produce the large-scale sculptures at the centre of the exhibition. The challenge was to secure the resources for the work and coordinate the team, logistics and finances needed to bring the project to Galerija Tkalka.

I produced the project through Artopolis Institute, in coproduction with the gallery, and prepared the funding application to Slovenia’s Ministry of Culture. The funding secured through the application made the exhibition’s production possible. Working with the artist and the gallery, I coordinated the team, logistics and finances, connecting the requirements of the sculptures with the practical organisation of the exhibition.

My work also included promotion and organising the production of a video walkthrough of the exhibition. This brought together funding, production management and public communication to support the artist’s work from preparation through to its presentation in the gallery and on video.
